Stage director Anna Theodosakis and mezzo-soprano Simona Genga present the first of two performances of Merola Opera Program's Schwabacher Summer Concert.
The program includes extended scenes from works by Donizetti, Gounod, Leoncavallo, Massenet, Puccini, and Richard Strauss, among others. Anna directs, while Simona appears in Lucrezia Borgia, singing Orsini, and Faust, singing Dame Marthe.
The program is conducted by Louis Lohraseb.

SWEAT, directed and choreographed by Dean Artists' Jennifer Nichols, makes its Toronto debut.
Winner of the Best Narrative Feature at the LA Independent Women Film Awards, SWEAT debuts with an exclusive in-person screening on Saturday, June 15th at the Revue Cinema in Toronto, followed by the digital streaming release available worldwide (June 16-30).
The work was produced by Jennifer and The Bicycle Opera Project, featuring music by Juliet Palmer and a libretto by Anna Chatterton, with cinematography led by Ash Tailor.
