Award-winning director, creator, and dramaturg, Jennifer Tarver has worked internationally in both theatre and opera for over 25 years. Her recent and upcoming productions include a staged Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater (Edmonton Opera), Rota’s Il cappello di paglia di Firenze (University of Toronto), and the premiere of Marshall’s Pomegranate at the Canadian Opera Company. She has also directed for Canadian Stage, the Stratford Festival, the Tarragon, Soulpepper and Buddies in Bad Times Theatres, as well as the Goodman Theatre (Chicago), The Longwharf Theatre and Hartford Stage (Connecticut).
Renowned for her visionary interpretations of both new and classical repertoire, Jennifer’s work is marked by innovation and exquisite craft. She worked extensively with Queen of Puddings Music Theatre, directing several operatic world premieres, and was the Director of the Opera Studio at the Centre for Opera Studies (Sulmona, Italy) from 2007-2009. Her operatic repertoire includes Mozart’s The Magic Flute, Così fan tutte, and Don Giovanni, Ravel’s L’enfant et les sortilèges, Sokolovic’s Svadba, Menotti’s The Telephone, Bernstein’s Trouble in Tahiti, and several works of Benjamin Britten, including A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Turn of the Screw, and The Rape of Lucretia.

WE ARE DELIGHTED TO WELCOME Baritone Jesse Blumberg TO THE DEAN ARTISTS MANAGEMENT ROSTER!
Baritone Jesse Blumberg enjoys a busy schedule of opera, concerts, and recitals, performing repertoire from the Renaissance and Baroque to the 20th and 21st centuries. He has performed featured roles at Minnesota Opera, Boston Lyric Opera, Atlanta Opera, Pittsburgh Opera, Boston Early Music Festival, Opera Atelier, and at Château de Versailles Spectacles and London’s Royal Festival Hall.
Jesse's engagements in 2023-2024 include Messiah and St. John Passion with American Bach Soloists, Marazzoli cantatas with Boston Early Music Festival, and All is Love with Opera Atelier. He will also debut with the Pacific Symphony and Toronto Bach Festival, and return to the Johnstown Symphony, New York Baroque Incorporated, Cincinnati Song Initiative, and Brooklyn Art Song Society.
Jesse has sung major concert works with Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra, American Bach Soloists, Boston Baroque, Carmel Bach Festival, Apollo’s Fire, Oratorio Society of New York, The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, and on Lincoln Center’s American Songbook series. He has been increasingly active on concert stages in Canada for the last several years, appearing with the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, Symphony Nova Scotia, Early Music Vancouver, Arion Baroque, Grand Philharmonic Choir, and at the Montréal Baroque Festival.
He has been featured on nearly thirty commercial recordings, including the 2015 Grammy-winning and 2019 Grammy-nominated Charpentier Chamber Operas with Boston Early Music Festival. Jesse’s other albums include Bach cantatas with Montréal Baroque, Winterreise with pianist Martin Katz, Rosenmüller cantatas with ACRONYM, Green Sneakers with the Miami String Quartet, and St. John Passion with Apollo’s Fire, as well as American Bach Soloists’ 2015 film release Handel’s Messiah in Grace Cathedral.
